ERM is seeking a motivated Intern who is interested in supporting a variety of projects that span the full spectrum of ERM’s services, as part of our growing team. This position is based in our Irvine, CA office but will collaborate closely with leaders across North America.
We are looking for an organized, hands-on professional with initiative, a positive team attitude, and a keen eye for detail and technical quality to support our local staff. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging environmental projects for large, global clients across multiple industry sectors. The ideal candidate will also bring strong skills in business and data analysis to help identify trends, support strategic decision-making, and deliver data-driven insights that enhance project outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high-quality project support while successfully managing multiple deadline-driven tasks.Assist with business, environmental, and other ERM projects across various service lines.Conduct research, compile and evaluate data, and assist in the preparation of reports.Support the development of documents, reports, proposals, and presentations—including word processing, formatting, proofreading, and production.Provide support to project teams through coordination of project logistics, administrative functions, and implementation of business processes to enhance operational efficiency.Complete assignments on time and in accordance with ERM’s formatting and quality standards.REQUIREMENTS:
Currently pursuing a degree in business, environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and analytical thinking; experience in writing or recording detailed technical data is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet).Strong hands-on skills in spreadsheets and data analytics.Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.Proactive, results-driven, and team-oriented mindset.Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.For the Intern position, we anticipate the hourly pay of $15 – $20 (USD). An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where employee’s fall outside of the range based on the factors noted above. This job may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are NOT bonus eligible).
