Corporate End-User Systems - Intern at Counce TN Mill
Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to develop a Co-op to provide implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting of all hardware, operating systems, applications and policies related to desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices and kiosk machines in the end user environment. This position is part of the Information Technology Systems department, End-User Systems Support group. This person will interface with internal and external end-users to support and maintain end-user computing needs.
Dimensions:
This positionwill assistconfigures, deploys, patches, and upgrades current desktop operating systems and applications using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other methods.
This position will assistperforms software application configurations, packaging, deployments, and troubleshooting of software applications for end users.
This position deploys workstation operating system images, patches and updates, and driver packages per device model and type.
This position creates, assists and supports Active Directory Group Policies (GPO), and OUs for workstation objects to control workstation configurations setup, access rights and security.
Additionally, this position will travel and manage assigned projects as needed by the IT department.
Principal Accountabilities:
+ As a member of the ITS Department, ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the company; for sharing information that would benefit other members of the team; and for finding ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.
+ As a member of the ITS Department and the PCA Team as a whole, ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is expected to continually strive to strengthen our business philosophy ofMeeting needs, exceeding expectationsfor our customers. + ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for deploying, utilizing and troubleshooting SCCM Agent connectivity, remote control, inventory queries and reports.
+ ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for providing in person and remote support of other team members, support engineers and end users.
+ ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for performing different methods of application packaging and deployment such as in machine and/or user environments, batch file scripting, VBS, AutoIT, Powershell, MSI, and InstallShield.
+ ITS - Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for Internet Explorer browsing configuration, security, troubleshooting and browser customizations.
+ ITS – Corporate End-User Systems Co-op is responsible for Desktop hardware and operating system security, access and controls via Powershell, Active Directory, Remote Desktop Connectivity and Group Policy also preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University, The University of Mississippi, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of Maine, University of North Carolina State, Texas A&M University, University of Miami Ohio, Tennessee Technology University, or any University of TN and majoring in Information Technology Systems or related field and have completed the freshman year. A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0 is required and must be a permanent U.S. resident.
