Intern - IT Software Engineer

As a Fab 4 IT Software Intern, you will work within a team environment that supports, develops, and maintains software solutions for the Technology Development 300mm facility in Boise Idaho. The team supports critical manufacturing software/databases as well as Data Analysis systems that evolves our technology as a company. Software engineers in this team collaborate extensively with others to maintain high quality software support, delivery and uptime to the facility. The majority of the tasks in this role involve software troubleshooting and debugging skills and direct interaction with users on submitted support tickets. Good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to learn on the fly is beneficial.

Key ResponsibilitiesReduce IT impact and support levels to the lowest levelProvide high quality customer experience to the businessParticipate in daily Boise Site IT incident update meetingsLearn new tools in the effort to maintain, troubleshoot, and support existing softwareProvide timely monitoring and reaction to line & IT system performanceParticipate in any IT related “major event” affecting operations (i.e. post-mortems and associated communication)

For this position it will be helpful to have good communication skills, awareness of troubleshooting and software debugging skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Knowledge in several of the following areas is a plus:

C#, Perl, bash, Visual Basic (.NET), MSSQL, XML, Linux, Unix, Windows, Python, and HTML

Education:Must be pursuing a bachelor’s in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Systems or a related fieldMust not graduate before September 2025
