We are looking for a dedicated student in the field of engineering or similar to support us in the structural design and layout of the steel structure of our paper machine hood.

 

Your tasks

Support us in the structural design and layout of hood's steel. Be responsible for analyzing and applying the relevant standards and guidelines for the design and dimensioning. You will also create space models and technical drawings as well as documentation. Your tasks will also include carrying out calculations and simulations (deflection) based on the load on the hood. Apply your theoretical knowledge from your studies in practice. You will also take part in project meetings and work together with various departments.

Your profile

You are an enrolled student in the field of engineering, mechanical engineering, design engineering or similar. You have a good knowledge of design, steel construction or technical mechanics and materials engineering as well as basic knowledge of the relevant standards and guidelines. You also have experience with CAD software and technical drawing; knowledge of FEM analyses is an advantage. Very good knowledge of German or English, both written and spoken, is required. Personally, you impress with your independent and structured way of working and your high willingness to learn. Your profile is rounded off by your ability to work in a team, your strong communication skills and your willingness to occasionally travel for up to one week.
