Who will you be joining?
The Global Sourcing & Procurement division of Allianz is located in Allianz Group Headquarter. As part of Global Sourcing & Procurement, Global Insurance Procurement (Core Business Procurement) is driving international strategic negotiations & commercial topics with claims providers. A wide range of provider services is covered, e.g., providers for claims handling software and providers for key repair services, spare parts suppliers or body shops for car repair as well a property claims handling providers. Hence, we are providing a key service to support the core claims business of the Allianz Group and beyond. We are conducting local and international tenders and negotiations in order to identify best-in-class service providers and to create value for the whole group.
Due to the interaction with various service providers, departments and nations, we handle a wide range of diverse topics, categories, insurance fields and collaborating on an international level. We also aim to connect these providers to our IT Master platform which is driven by Allianz. Depending on the abilities, knowledge and interests of our interns, we can offer a variety of diverse assignments and responsibilities. You will be part of our truly international team as well as our processes and tools from day one and are supporting us in getting closer to our ambition – generating customer satisfaction and best in class conditions for the Allianz Group.
How can you make an impact?
Supporting the whole purchasing process – starting with identification of suitable providers up to price negotiations and contract arrangements Collaborating with an international team of professional senior buyers Accompany senior buyers to meetings with stakeholders and providers Drafting, editing, monitoring and evaluating tenders Preparing and supporting in negotiating new technology solutions with global corporations and start-ups Supporting the implementation of a global Insurance Procurement Community in the Allianz Group with over 20 international entities, e.g. by providing an online platform.
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
Studies of business administration or industrial engineering, preferably with a specialization in supply chain management Fluent English, ideally German as well and other languages are a plus Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to work independently Team player with good communication skills Analytical mindset Practical experience gained through previous internships, preferably in management consultancy companies Requirement for internship and working student positions is the enrollment in a university – or (for an internship) a gap year We can only consider your application if you provide the following documents:
Certificate of enrollment (exception gap year)
Valid Work and residence permit (for non-EU citizens). Please check before applying if you can work with your current VISA
Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus
