We are looking for a Maintenance/Engineering Intern to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Turlock, California.  You will be provided with the knowledge of how Sensient does business and the opportunities available to interns when their education is complete. This intern position will be an opportunity for someone to fill a role as an Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor for SNI Turlock. This position will work with the Turlock Maintenance Manager and will learn how to identify and prioritize Cost Savings Projects. You'll develop a scope of work and may also support continuous improvement projects.  

What you´ll do: 

Identify productivity and yield savings projects to align with the annual goals of SNIReview and develop Key Performance IndicatorsPresent to Turlock management team best practices and areas for improvement based on the observations during internshipEnsure project budgets are closely controlled and forecast spend is apparent at all times from concept to closureFacilitate and/or execute Continuous Improvement activities through analyzing facility and equipment capital needs, maintenance/repair programs, production processes and activities

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalentManaging and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneouslyExposure to Continuous Improvement methodologies Knowledge and experience with food manufacturing processes - Preferred.Project Management certification (Prince 2, PMP, etc.) – Preferred

About Sensient Natural Ingredients

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The hourly range for this position is $18.99 to $31.66 USD hourly.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
