Jhpiego Internship program (JIP) aim at providing experiences to young professionals and mentor them into professional roles. This internship will provide an experience to a young professional to get good on the job experiences, the tasks involved are not critical and do not require full-time staff to complete.

 

The M and E Intern will have hands-on experience and the ability to learn and gain work experience, which will support the candidate in the search and increase his/her experience in Monitoring and Evaluation tasks.  The intern will benefit through having technical practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation management

Mentor:                                 Assistant M & E/Technical Officer

Responsibilities Collaborate with the M&E team, Tecvnical Officers and government counterparts to support the planning and execution of early detection of breast cancer program monitoring and evaluation activities in project supported region.Assist in data collection, entry, cleaning, and management for data, ensuring data accuracy and quality.Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.Provide support to the implementation of M&E frameworks and methodologies for assessing program impact.Provide on-the-ground support in health facilities and outreach sites, ensuring data for breast cancer early detection activities are collected and reported accurately.Assist in identifying trends and making recommendations for program improvements based on data insights.

 

 

Required Qualifications A recent undergraduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, public health, Social Sciences, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field.Knowledge in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or related work in the health sector.Familiarity with health programs, particularly those involving breast cancer or non-communicable diseases, is a plus.Basic knowledge in data management software (e.g., MS Excel, DHIS2, KoboToolbox, Power BI).Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to ensure data quality and identify trends.Knowledge of M&E methodologies and frameworks, including experience with data quality assessments.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with health facility staff and other stakeholders.Ability to provide clear and concise feedback to improve data quality and program implementation.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Willingness to travel to health facilities and outreach sites within the supported project region.
