During your internship at Micron Technology, you will work with our layout team to learn innovative memory technologies for layout design in the most advanced NAND products.

You will be challenged by the complexity and difficulty of designing the high density memory chip with complicated functionalityYou will have the opportunity to work closely with our design & layout teams to contribute to the success of NAND memory products by working on various layout designs that meets the process rules and verifying that it matches the schematic. This will allow you to be hands on using various advanced tools and techniques to make a sophisticated leading-edge layout design.You will help explore any possible AI/ML automation solutions that can improve our teams overall efficiency.

Responsibilities

Understand the basic CMOS cross-section componentsCreate physical layout of circuitsPerform layout verification like LVS/DRC..etc Proficiency with Cadence OA and Calibre verification tools

Requirements

Basic understanding of CMOS process and CMOS circuit layout structureProgramming skillsWilling to learn and understand design rules and deliver qualified layoutExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsA self-motivated and enthusiastic teammate who thrives on collaborationGood communication and document skills

Preferred but not required

Experience with LVS and DRC tools such as CalibreStandard cell construction and analogy layout techniques

Candidates must be graduating December 2025 or later.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$40.62 - $43.15

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
