Intern - Nutrition Administrative Assistant - Durant Clinic
**_Internships are only open to Choctaw Nation tribal members currently enrolled in college._** **This is a temporary, 8-week internship | $15.00 per hour** **Primary Tasks:** 1. Contributes to Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority’s objectives by completing specific work assignments dependent on the intern’s best career and coursework fit and organizational needs. 2. Participates in various pre-medical or related responsibilities with supervision, which could include administrative tasks, job shadowing, etc. 3. Participates in a trained and mentored role to gain hands-on operational knowledge of assigned responsibilities; performs basic responsibilities, assignments and/or tasks, shadows experienced staff and providers, attends internship trainings, etc. 4. Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the associate. **Required Education, Skills and Experience:** MINIMUM + Active student with major in Pre-Medical, Biology, or related undergraduate degree program with career aspirations in the Medical field. + Choctaw CDIB or Choctaw member status. + Must be currently attending an accredited college, university, or postsecondary educational institution. + Must be available to work 40 hour per week eight consecutive weeks. + Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5; 3.0 GPA or greater preferred. + Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written on a technical level. + Ability to lift 20lb or more + Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently or in a group and manage priorities. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
