Job Description
The Operations Intern will support the Service Center Operations department and will gain exposure to equipment management, transportation coordination and operations planning.
Responsibilities Under supervision, assist in the planning, supervision, and control of available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.Gain understanding of load planning safety and maintenance.Assist in job task assignment according to unloading and loading schedules.Gain exposure to work assignment coordination, and performance monitoring.Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.Support our values driven culture focused on creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, excellence, and wellness.Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Requirements
Education:Must be pursuing a college degree, requiredSupply Chain and Business majors, preferredMinimum 2.5 GPA, preferredExperience:No prior experience necessaryComputer Skills:Basic computer skills, requiredExperience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, requiredAdditional Requirements:Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for employment Upon Hire, requiredCompetencies:Active LearningFlexibility and AdaptabilityInitiativeInterpersonal RelationshipsManaging Multiple PrioritiesProblem Solving
Other Details
Work Hours:This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours will be scheduled to support a 24/7 operation.Compensation:This is a hourly position paid weekly.
