Intern - Optimizing Sterile Distribution of Implants in Operating Rooms

The focus will be on ensuring that the sterile distribution process is optimized, promoting a streamlined workflow that aligns with health and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: 1. Process Optimization: 2. Analyze current distribution methods of sterile implants in operating rooms. 3. Identify areas for improvement to reduce delays and enhance safety. 4. Prototyping Deployment System: 5. Design and develop prototypes of a deployment system that adheres to the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle. 6. Collaborate with engineering teams to create functional prototypes for testing. 7. Data Gathering and Analysis: 8. Collect data on the usage patterns of implants in surgical procedures. 9. Use statistical tools to analyze the effectiveness of current distribution practices. 10. Collaboration: 11. Work alongside medical staff, supply chain teams, and engineering personnel to implement optimized solutions. 12. Participate in meetings to share findings and contribute to project strategies. 13. Documentation: 14. Write reports detailing the optimization process and outcomes. 15. Maintain documentation of designs and prototypes developed during the internship. **Qualifications** Skills and Qualifications: + Pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Basic knowledge of sterilization processes and healthcare logistics. + Familiarity with prototyping tools and software is a plus. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
