The Pediatric Teaching program, along with the PICU and pediatric subspecialists, are the home for the Pediatric Primary Care residency as well as the pediatric rotations for all UNC medical students. As such, we need to fulfill our ACGME-required task of dissemination of scholarly activity.
This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date of June 2, 2025. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.
Interns hired for the summer cohort will be enrolled in Campus Greensboro’s Summer Fellows Program. This is an in-person, professional development training program sponsored by Cone Health.
To be considered, candidates must meet at least one of the below criteria:
Local College Students: Attendees of local institutions including University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Guilford College, Greensboro College, Guilford Technical Community College, Bennett College, Elon University and School of Law, North Carolina A&T State University.Guilford County High School Graduates: Those who graduated from Guilford County high schools and are now furthering their education outside of Greensboro. First Generation College Students: Students who are the first in their families to attend any college or university.

Work with Pediatric faculty on scholarly projects including research and QI
Help collect data in EPIC to support scholarly projects
Using the basics of research design, work with faculty on project development
Assist in writing manuscripts or assembling posters for scholarly projects
EDUCATION:
Required:
Enrolled in college-level courses with a degree in process. Preferred majors include biology, physiology, psychology, public health and/or intention to apply for medical school.
Preferred:
2 years of college completed
EXPERIENCE:
Ability to multi-task
Attention to detail, thorough in work, problem solver
Able to work with excel spreadsheets
