As a valued intern with our Personal Lines Underwriting team, you will: 

Responsible for multi-week projects and may complete basic Underwriting tasks. 

You will also be trained in Underwriting basics and philosophy.  

Provide underwriting support daily workflow (various tasks may be included such as inspection review, agent correspondence, endorsements, renewal activity).  

Department Data/Analytics support such as reviewing aspects of project or operational outputs and outcomes, analyzing various sets of data for potential recommendations for change or solutions to given issues.  

Project topics are based on business needs. 

Example project scope: Detailed analysis, streamlining, process improvement, or automation recommendations. 

Project support such as development, research, and issue/resolution for various projects as needed. 

 

Qualifications: 

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or graduate’s degree in IRM, Finance, Business, Business/Data Analytics, or other related major. 

Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. 

Confidence in use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams). 

Basic SQL knowledge strongly preferred. 

Exposure to coursework related to data management : data quality, metadata, data lineage would be ideal. 

Experience or coursework  in use of the data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) definite plus. 

Authorized to work in the United States of America. 

Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and will work in the office at least 2 days a week.
