Do you love automation? As a Platform Engineer Intern, you’ll learn to set up complex, automated processes at the push of a button. You’ll gain hands-on experience building virtual computers, networks, and storage through code, all while collaborating with a talented, distributed team of engineers. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to dive into cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and platform engineering within a supportive, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Development: Support the development and optimization of core platform infrastructure, including cloud resources, networking components, and storage solutions.
2. Automation and Scripting: Contribute to automating routine tasks using scripting languages to enhance system administration efficiency and reliability.
3. Monitoring and Performance: Assist in monitoring platform performance, diagnosing issues, and troubleshooting incidents to ensure high availability and reliability.
4. Security: Aid in implementing security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including patch management, access controls, and vulnerability assessments.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps to support platform management.
6. Collaboration: Join in on projects with engineers and architects to gain insight into real-world DevOps practices, application deployments, scaling and day-to-day maintenance.
7. Continuous Improvement: Engage in problem-solving and root-cause analysis, contributing to the continuous improvement of platform reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and an interest in system administration.
• Familiarity with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Some experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and an eagerness to learn automation practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Passion for cloud technologies and a desire to grow in a dynamic engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in platform engineering, system administration, or DevOps.
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud computing and platform engineering, who is ready to make meaningful contributions while learning from experienced engineers.
Pay - $18 - $26 / Hourly
