As a Process Pathfinding and Thin Films Deposition  Intern at Micron, you will work in an industry-leading semiconductor process technology development area related to new memory devices and technologies.  In this position, you will learn about thin film deposition techniques using various toolsets, state-of-the-art thin film characterization  and other semiconductor processing techniques, materials, and structures.  As you work in a cross-functional team environment, you will help develop materials and electrical understanding to optimize electrical performance and reliability.    

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Deposition of thin films using various toolsetsWorking with lab personnel to measure physical, chemical, and electrical properties of materialsDevelopment and implementation of complex semiconductor processing techniques and documenting correlations to downstream observationsResearching and learning fundamental physical and chemical mechanismsPresenting results of learning in small group settingProposing improvement pathways for process toolsets

Qualifications:

Experience in thin films deposition (ALD, CVD, PVD)Experience in thin films characterization (XRR, XPS,  XRD, SIMS, FTIR, EBSD, SEM, TEM, etc...)Experience in semiconductor device physics, physical and electrical characterization techniquesAble to read and understand chemical documentation such as SDS and follow required safety protocolsKnowledge of Labview operations or hardware modification is a plus

Education Requirements:

Graduate student in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.  Exceptional undergraduates may be considered.
