Intern Program Leader

Primary Function:

The internship Program Lead will be responsible for running and managing all aspects of the intern program.  This individual will be responsible for managing internship openings in Livonia, MI and in Kingsville, Ontario.

 Primary Responsibilities:

Manage internship openings and recruiting for them Participate in career fairs Partner with our leaders on the intern selection and hiring process Maintain communication with incoming interns Onboard interns and work with their leaders and our L&D team to ensure intern onboarding and training schedules are in place Work with department leaders to identify one or more projects for the interns to complete during their internship Schedule and oversee intern activities including presentations, events, intern outings and round table meetings Off-board interns at the end of the intern season, which includes ensuring all interns have a “next step” conversation about returning the following year as an intern or a full-time employee Administer Intern Program surveys, and then analyze, collate, and present survey feedback to leaders to ensure a continuous improvement cycle. Establish relationships and operate as a University and College liaison

 

Educational/Background Requirements:

Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or related field Previous Human Resource experience preferred

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong communication skills Ability to build and maintain relationships Adaptable, keen attention to detail, time management, assertive, patient, calm under pressure Experience with Microsoft Office Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment Previous experience with an ATS or HRIS system is preferred

 

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment. May periodically travel to college campuses for events and career fairs (less than 10% travel)
