A project coordination intern supports existing project coordination team with project changes that impact scope, schedule and budget through communication and documentation in databases, collaboration with document control team and project controls teams.
Project coordination intern supports project coordinators to accomplish the following:
Project Management/Planning:Use a systematic project management methodology to develop, prioritize and run projectsLead projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule and budgetTrack actions and provide escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on timeDefine and lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects of critical importance to MicronEnsure regular communication to customers of project status, roadblocks, and path to successClarify and document project scope and ensures vital input from appropriate collaboratorsEnsure that scope meets requestor needs and collaborate with consultant resourcesCoordinate and lead meetings and initiates follow-up actionsWork with appropriate personnel to address problems or make correctionsPerform project cost estimates, forecasts, project cash flows and capital budget acquisitionSupport or develops RFQs for construction activities and may lead vendor selectionMonitor trends in spending to ensure alignment with project spending planProvide monthly cash flow projections and construction status reports Technical/Data AnalysisAnalyze systems data to make critical decisions, improve performance, gain efficiency, and drive cost savingsProvide effective and timely guidance to resolve issues and is highly engaged in key problem resolutionProvide troubleshooting support for complex problems and addresses root causeSupport risk and/or failure mode and effects analysisEliminate single points of failure and mitigate riskIdentify gaps and opportunities for efficienciesMaintain applicable field knowledgeSupport a TPM cultureCommunication & Collaboration:Partner with key stakeholders to develop solutions to continuously improve critical metricsCoordinate with partners and leaders on issues and changes, and provides regular status updatesProvide a high level of service with strong customer focus and establishes effective relationships with supported teamsDemonstrate strong partnering, negotiation and collaboration skillsProactively seek and provide feedback to internal and external management regarding the quality of work being performedGenerate and incorporate ideas from others to influence or enable key strategic objectivesCollaborate with area leaders to create personal performance and development goalsCommunicate proactively with leaders and collaborators on the daily priorities and issuesPartner in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementationProactively communicates issues that could cause Fab impact, defects, tool restrictions, or lost movesBroaden cross-disciplinary knowledge through new assignmentsProvide advice and guidance to less expert team membersEducation Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Construction Management.
Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2025.
