JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Oakland Arena & Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Marketing and Sales department is in search of a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual who is interested in gaining valuable marketing and business development experience within the entertainment industry!
This internship is designed to offer currently enrolled college and university students a hands-on learning experience in Marketing, Sales, Sponsorships, Partnership Fulfillment, and new business initiatives for the Oakland Arena & Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.
DURATION:
16-20 weeks during a Fall or Spring Semester
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internship duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Build marketing emails and support with grassroots initiatives to create publicity to sell tickets for upcoming shows.Monitor and report on social media and email analytics as well as website traffic, making recommendations for future marketing promotions.Update media contact databases and show marketing analytics trackers.Research artists for fan engagement activities, back of house activations, and gifting ideasAssist with developing standard and customized proposals for potential clients.Perform assigned event night duties including sponsor activation and VIP guest assistance.Build annual proof of performance reports including documenting activation, capturing screenshots, images and other performance metrics.Assist with researching and identifying potential categories and specific companies for sponsorship and premium sales.Maintain and develop client interaction touch points and relationships with potential and current partners.Research industry best practices and innovative ideas to implement to department.Perform other duties as assigned by the department Director.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 15-20 hours per week preferred.Applicant must have a history of relevant coursework or experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and TwitterPassion for live entertainment.Nights and/or weekends will be required on occasion.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to reach deadlines and work quickly and efficiently.Internship must be related to major or current course of study.ASM GLOBAL expects all employees to act with honesty, integrity, and professionalism in accordance with the company's high standards of ethical conduct, to respect the company's rules and policies, and to know and accept the company's rules and policies and contribute fully to their attainment.
