Intern - Sales Planning & Operations
Please note that this role is based in the United Kingdom. This role will be a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract starting in July 2025 and will be paid London living wage. The TV Distribution Sales Planning team is responsible for setting and delivering our product distribution strategy, supporting negotiations, and delivering the end-to-end sales process. This includes franchise planning, handling product availabilities and rights, negotiation and pricing support, contract review and execution, and budgeting and forecasting. What you'll do: + Learn how to support a simple negotiation from start to finish, from generating initial availability lists, proposal analysis, supporting contract drafting, inputting a deal, initiating materials delivery and billing. + Shadow and gain insights of other teams within the department – Sales, Sales Strategy, Marketing and Research. + Be involved in Forecasting & Budgeting – Using existing templates and working with experienced Planners to build new templates to automate and streamline the budgeting process across all EMEA territories + Deal Calendar/Volume Deal Expiry tracker – Creating an intelligent calendar of all deals across EMEA tracking important deadlines, contractual obligations and activities that need to take place. + SharePoint – improve the design of the Sales Planning SharePoint site + One Sheets – Reviewing and auditing volume deal one sheets for major deals Your skills: + Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail + Problem Solving – demonstrates a curiosity to find the root cause of problems and seek solutions. + Able to use complex information to provide summaries with clear and meaningful insights + Aptitude for working with data tools e.g. Excel, Tableau etc… + Team player who is willing and able to assist colleagues. + Proactive and adaptable – anticipate needs in different situations and takes appropriate action with guidance + Excellent communication skills + Fluency in English, additional European languages are a plus What you'll gain: + You will gain and understanding of the TV Distribution business, with a comprehensive understanding of how a major studio operates and distributes content to linear and on demand clients internationally. I + You will develop a detailed understanding of content rights management, deal making and the forecasting process. + You will have professional experience that is transferable to any job such as working to deadlines; attention to detail; managing priorities; communicating with clients; working with international teams and other departments. + IT/Systems: Excel skills, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams, Rights management systems, billing systems Process + This position is due to close on Friday 14th February 2025. + The process will involve an assessment centre on April 10th 2025 which will be a day at our SPE offices and include multiple activities, including an Excel Test. + The successful candidates from this stage will then have a virtual interview before making an offer. + Two interns will be hired for this position.
