The Software Analyst designs software solutions for product needs by collaborating with the product owner, business stakeholders, and software engineers. In addition, this position ensures the Development Team clearly understands business needs and leads the effort to design effective, simple and creative solutions. The Software Analyst also elicits, analyzes and communicates detailed functional requirements within the agile development process.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides functional/technical requirements elicitation, analysis, solution design, and testing support.
2. Translates Product Owner business objectives into actionable functional/technical requirements.
3. Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the Development Team’s comprehension of the business needs and the solutions being developed fully support the business objectives, functional requirements, and user interface requirements.
4. Resolves impediments related to software requirements.
5. Participates in design reviews and team reviews to assess test cases, documentation, and other specifications around the project.
6. Helps determine and recommends steps for implementing/integrating new software and procedures.
7. Identifies issues/gaps in designs or implementations and recommends solutions.
8. Identifies and communicates risks to the Product Owner.
9. Troubleshoots applications and contributes to technical resolutions for research tickets or impediments.
10. Provides post-implementation support.
11. Assists with user training and related artifacts.
12. Monitors DevOps processes, captures metrics, and provides insight and ideas on improving efficiency.
