At Motorola Solutions, we're guided by a shared purpose - helping people be their best in the moments that matter - and we live up to our purpose every day by solving for safer. Because people can only be their best when they not only feel safe, but are safe. We're solving for safer by building the best possible technologies across every part of our safety and security ecosystem. That's mission-critical communications devices and networks, AI-powered video security & access control and the ability to unite voice, video and data in a single command center view. We're solving for safer by connecting public safety agencies and enterprises, enabling the collaboration that's critical to connect those in need with those who can help. The work we do here matters.
Department OverviewThe Base Station Software department, commonly known as RF Site, is a group of people who work together on innovative solutions which allow people to communicate with each other in critical situations. We create software and hardware which allow end users to efficiently use the radio frequency spectrum, maximize channels capacity and radio coverage. Our solutions stand on the edge of the telecommunication systems and enable communications between end users even in harsh conditions e.g. when the rest of the system is down by a hurricane!
As a group of people in Krakow we develop innovative end to end functionalities which:
selects the best received signal from multiple sites and retransmits without interferences, allows processing real-time audio from multiple sources and aggregates the highest quality audio frames to pass on, ensure the best quality audio is received by the end user, manages hardware at the site in a way which maximizes services and site capacity in case of hardware failures, minimizes service outage time in case of software upgrade and site maintenance
protect services availability against catastrophic loss of the equipment.
On top of this we think of new functionalities in our products, brainstorm on innovative services in Motorola systems, work on engineering improvements, create internal tools and maintain a healthy and friendly development environment in order to make our job easier and more effective.
