Intern - Software Operations
Support Center - Irving

Our 10-week paid Internship program is designed to attract and develop future leaders. As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with core responsibilities, relevant projects, and assignments. You will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and contribute towards ongoing software development projects in the digital platform engineering space.

Key Responsibilities

Support containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes. Work on monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of software services.  Collaborate with development teams to streamline software integration and delivery processes.Assist in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and work on scaling application environments. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Document best practices, processes, and technical solutions for future use and team knowledge sharing. Provide sustainable user support, manage incident responses, and conduct blameless postmortems as part of our ongoing efforts to improve our systemsAssisting with monitoring the performance of cloud applications and solutions, analyzing opportunities for improvement.

Preferred Skills

 Exposure to cloud-native technologies and serverless architectures.Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Familiarity with microservices architecture and working in a DevOps or SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/GCP Certified, Kubernetes Certified Administrator, DevOps Engineer) are a bonus.

 

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).Knowledge of software development fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.Problem-solving mindset and a passion for learning.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

GPA of 3.0 or aboveCollege Juniors and aboveOne year of experience working in a retail environment is preferred. Retail operations experience in the specific functional area is a plus.

Other

Previous coding projects or internship experience is a plus

Preferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Familiarity with development tools and integrated development environments (IDEs) relevant to the role, such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse,Familiarity with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and front-end JavaScript frameworksUnderstanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases)Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and an understanding of the software development lifecycle.Willingness to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies as required by the internship.
