In this context, Nexans has engaged in rotating its business portfolio towards electrification through targeted and selective organic growth and through both disposal and acquisition of assets, in order for the group to operate at its full potential. 

Nexans is looking to recruit 1 internto grow our talent pool and reinforce the Strategy and Investor Relations functions.

Areas of responsibilities

This role will involve working in close collaboration to the Strategy and Investor Relations teams in order to: 

 

1.    Build up research, analyses & associated syntheses at different stages of the group strategy definition or M&A processes, covering a broad range of topics such as: 
- Growth strategy 
- Industrial strategy definition 
- Business units turnaround and optimization
- Market analysis
- M&A target screening, company analysis, business plan & synergies calculation 

2.    Be involved along with project management in the definition of the group strategy and its communication:
-    Internally: C-level syntheses and action plan follow up material to support decision making 
-    Externally: support in market presentations (e.g. Capital Market Day, Investor Relations, Universal Registration Document)
3.    Conduct comprehensive market intelligence of the cable industry and Nexans' primary competitors by preparing IR weekly brief newsletters, analyzing market reactions, and reviewing peers’ earnings for top management. Collaborate with the Strategy team to produce detailed reports for top management, including peer analysis, market trends, and strategic recommendations.

4.    Produce benchmarks on key competitors and best-in-class players, analyzing financial communications, analysts notes, and websites. These insights will be used to enhance Nexans' investor materials.

5.    Assist in the preparation and organization of investor events such as roadshows, conferences, and annual general meetings (AGM). 

 

Required skills and qualifications

Preferred qualifications

    End-of-course internship 
    Fluent English oral and writing skills 
    Proven strategy and finance skills, as well as mathematical acumen 
    Proven presentation skills 
    A first experience in strategy consulting or within a group strategy function, investor relations, investment bank, audit / transaction services is a plus
