Preparing tax adjustments for federal, international, and state tax returns.Preparing quarterly tax estimated payments, tax extensions, and their corresponding payments.Preparing state apportionment workpapers and coordinating with various groups within finance to gather relevant data.Tracking new legislation and determining the impact of such legislation to Micron.Assisting with the compilation of various financial information reports (using SAP) to support tax compliance and accounting.Assisting with tax research for related memorandumsAssisting with property tax compliance, sale and use tax compliance, and tax provision as needed.Assisting with special tax projects.Implementing tax technologies and process improvements.Skills/Qualifications include:
Strong software skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office applications. Skills with Alteryx, Power BI, and Access is a plus.Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.An interest in Tax.Flexibility with the work schedule, particularly during the school year.Currently has Junior status within the undergraduate accounting program; orCurrently has Senior status within the undergraduate accounting program with plans to pursue a Master of Accounting or Tax.Education Requirements/Preferences:
Must be currently pursuing a BA/BS or MS in Accounting or Tax.Must be a full-time student.Work Timeline:
This position will Start in May 2025 and will be a 12-month internship.
