By combining practical experience with professional development, our program prepares interns for future success. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.

Job Description
The Data Technologies & Analytics Solutions (DTAS) group is responsible for design and implementation of leading technology solutions for Data engineering, Data Sciences and advance analytics initiative to enable business capabilities for various functions across the Otsuka business. DTAS team is also responsible for doing research on leading platforms and solution for Machine Learning, AI, NLP and RPA capabilities.
Work with various data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL stores, data warehouses, data lakes) and type of data (structured and unstructured) ensure seamless data accessibility.
Collaborate with the data engineering team to improve data modeling, quality, reliability, and governance.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of backend services, APIs, and microservices in languages like Python and/or Java.
Implement RESTful endpoints for seamless communication between front-end applications, data stores, and ML models.
Collaborate with front-end developers to embed AI-driven features and visualizations into web platform.
Participate in feature engineering, model evaluation, tuning, and monitoring of ML performance metrics.
Support senior ML engineers and data scientists in experimenting with and training machine learning models, prompt engineering, building RAG pipelines on MLOps platform.
Will be working on cross department initiative for building generic solution called SHARP leveraging generative AI technology to build configuration driven reconciliation platform.

Qualifications
Minimum:
By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered graduate or master’s degree in computer science or data science field.
Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
Can commit to full duration of internship program.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exposure to at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java).
Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
Understanding of Generative AI tools & technologies (such as Prompt Engineering, RAG, LLM, Agents etc.)
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
Introductory knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
Some experience or coursework in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (React, Angular or Streamlit) a plus.
