Job Summary :

Otsuka’s internship program, Intern the Otsuka Way (InTOW), offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop critical skills while contributing to meaningful projects. Interns will work alongside experienced professionals, learn about the complexities of the pharmaceutical industry, and gain insights into potential career paths. By combining practical experience with professional development, our program prepares interns for future success. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, as well as insightful lunch and learns.

Job Description  

We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Global Early Pipeline Nephrology and Immunology Marketing and Market Access (GMMA) Intern. As an intern in our GMMA department, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of pharmaceuticals and play a key role in ensuring commercial viability and access to Otsuka’s medicines to patients worldwide. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about making a difference and has a strong interest in global health, marketing, and market access strategies. The intern will have an opportunity to complete a project on pricing and reimbursement dynamics for multi-indication drugs using drug analog data. Qualifications 

Minimum: 

Pursuing an MBA, MA, MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD in Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Pharmacy, Health Outcomes Research, Health Services Research, or other marketing and market access related program (Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship) 

Able to work full-time 40 hours/week during the full duration of the internship program in the summer of 2025 

Self-motivated, team-focused individual with strong communication and analytical skills 

Driven to learn about marketing and market access, pharmaceutical drug development, and evidence generation to demonstrate the value of our pharmaceutical products to key stakeholders 

Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite 

Possess prior work experience (jobs, internships) 

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus  

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Relevant coursework or experience in Regional or Global Market Access, Global Pricing or Reimbursement, Healthcare Economics, Business Administration 

Strong technical skills (e.g., software proficiency/Microsoft Office, data analysis, excellent communication and interpersonal skills)

Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.

Minimum $22.00 - Maximum $27.50: The range shown represents a typical pay range or starting pay for candidates hired to perform the work.
