As an Associate Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the Transmission Line Engineering team members in the execution of their project work. These projects may involve the design of new and/or modifications and upgrades to Transmission Line engineering projects.

Working under the direction of senior engineers, this position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in engineering one or more of the following areas:Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.Design of Foundations, Development of Structural Loading, Analysis of Transmission Structures.Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of spending three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days.

 

Please note that this internship position does not provide a subsidy for relocation expenses.

Essential skills and experience:

Must have an expected graduation date in Spring 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or Fall 2026 with a BS degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved programSolid understanding of basic statics and strength of materials.Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the communityMinimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferredPrior, related internship or co-op experience
