Job Summary
The Chief of Staff IGNITE Internship Program is designed to develop, inspire and prepare undergraduate and graduate level college students for a career in healthcare. The 12-week, unpaid program will run from May 27 to August 15 and introduce participants to major functional areas of our business and provide meaningful opportunities to engage with talented leaders across our system. Our unique program is made up of three key components: department rotation, professional development and a final capstone project. This accelerated learning experience supports career exploration, unlocks potential and provides invaluable access to the teams, projects and day to day functions of all major areas of operation at Novant Health.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, display a high level of professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. Students should demonstrate an interest in the healthcare industry and should be studying a related field such as healthcare management, public health, business administration or pursuing an MHA, MBA, MPH or other relevant master’s level degree and must be in pursuit of a for-credit internship.
The program will run from May 27 to August 15. Candidate must be local to Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma, required.
+ Additional Skills Required:
+ Demonstrates customer service skills dealing with senior leaders, personnel, physicians and visitors. Expresses information in clear, concise, organized manner.
+ Essential Functions :
+ Demonstrates problem-solving process in making business decisions. Experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
