BAMSI offers a hands on internship experience in the field of Learning & Development. The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Intern will support the administration and maintenance of BAMSI’s learning management system, BAMSI University (BAMSI U), on the Docebo platform. As an individual contributor, this role is support for the backend administration and functionality of the system.

As a member of the Learning & Development team, the LMS Intern will collaborate with teams across the agency to ensure a positive learning experience by optimizing system capabilities and embracing a philosophy of continuous improvement and innovation. This role works closely with instructional designers, instructors, power users, HRIS Manager and IT staff to ensure smooth functioning of the LMS and provide technical support to end users. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR POSITION

· Supports all aspects of BAMSI U, serving as the supporting contact to LMS Administrator for troubleshooting, taking initiative in offering solutions and suggesting improvements as needed to optimize system capabilities.

· Provides technical support to internal and external learners, instructors, power users and administrators on BAMSI U related inquiries, issues and functionality. Maintains the e-mail boxes to escalate and track tickets for quick resolution.

· Uploads, organizes and maintains training materials including e-learning module content, videos, documents, quizzes and assessments within BAMSI U.

· Maintains training sessions for instructor-led and virtual instructor-led trainings.

· Supports maintenance of Discover, Coach and Share module of the LMS in order to elevate social learning and gamification.

· Creates technical procedures, documentation, job aids, and FAQs to assist administrators and users in utilizing BAMSI U effectively.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Currently enrolled in a degree program that will provide academic credit for an internship experience. Pursuing a degree in a relevant field (IE: Education, Training/Development, Computer Science, Communications, Human Resource Development or a related field).

· Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in learning management systems and related technologies such as Articulate 360 and Docebo (or equivalent).

· Proficient with MS office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.

· Experience in non-profit and/or human service environment is preferred

· Fluency in the English language, written and oral required. Bi-lingual/Multi-lingual preferred.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily sedentary and is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.  Repetitive and substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.  The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
