**Job Responsibilities**
1. This position is responsible for the advanced repair and the assigned preventative maintenance of miscellaneous equipment in the manufacturing area to eliminate down time and meet annual performance goals
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Scope out work areas to insure physically safe repair work progression
+ Demonstrate an advanced level of mechanical aptitude with knowledge and use of various pieces of equipment not limited to: hand, power, industrial tools and precision measuring instruments
+ Previous work experience in welding is a plus
+ Meeting all safety and USDA standards
+ Clean safety record
+ Skills in metal fabrications
+ Ability to work without supervision
+ Must have a working knowledge of computer systems: Able to input and extract data as it relates to the emails and the computer maintenance management. Must be able to look up work orders, materials, and historical records relating to plant equipment
+ Ability to research online, use hard cover manuals and catalogs to correctly identify and procure need repair and fabrication components for equipment modification and repair solutions
+ No performance work actions in the last 6 months
+ PHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting up to 70 pounds
+ No restrictions twisting, bending, squatting or walking
**Response Process**
To be considered for this position you must have completed six (6) months in your present position. Team Members with less than six (6) months may be considered for promotion or transfer based on the needs of the company.
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $21.25 - $36.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
