Internal Audit Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Business Partner within Internal Audit, this role will lead the internal audit function’s engagement with the Group’s Global Business Services (GBS) finance, information technology and human resources teams. The role will support internal audit projects across Convatec’s global organisation and locations, supporting all of the global Internal Audit Business Partners with the planning, data analysis, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up of internal audit activities.  

Key Responsibilities  

Lead the production of Internal Audit’s regular management reporting, including the drafting of Audit and Risk Committee updates. 

Champion the use of the company’s data analytics and finance automation tools using company data sources to support the delivery of internal audit plans.

Support the wider Internal Audit team’s development in the use of data analytics and process automation tools. 

Work closely with Global Business Services operational leads to obtain process information and transactional data to support internal audit fieldwork. 

Work under the supervision of Internal Audit Business Partners to support the delivery of selected elements of internal audit projects. This will include using knowledge obtained of the business and associated key risks to identify and report significant control and process improvement recommendations. 

Plan, perform and report on internal audit activities and deliverables across the full lifecycle of the assignments, in line with defined methodologies and standards. 

Develop and maintain productive relationships with Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance teams, as well as collaborating with individuals across the business. 

Key Qualifications, Skills, and Experience 

Degree level qualification.

Experience of working in a regulated industry and in a multi-national business.

Strong planning, organisational, analytical and project management competencies. 

Sound knowledge of audit principles and an understanding of audit testing methods and techniques.

Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Management software, such as SAP. 

Working knowledge of data analytics tools, such as MS Excel and Power BI. 

Ability to write reports to communicate findings and propose solutions. 

Proven track record of building senior internal and external relationships and business partnering.  

Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation and work across all functions. 

Fluency (both written and verbal) in English and Portuguese.
