Key Responsibilities

Implement an Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR) framework related to the Company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reportingLiaise with Applied’s Sustainability Team and other stakeholders IT to drive risk assessment, scoping, control design assessment, and control documentation activitiesIntegrate an ICSR testing program with the overall SOX testing functionLead internal audit advisory projects related to ESG and sustainability reportingPartner with business stakeholders to ensure effective operational controls and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR)

Additional responsibilities include:

Assist the SOX program management office (SOX PMO) in executing program objectives, including close coordination and support for the Company’s external auditor and business and IT stakeholdersSupervise and review SOX testing deliverables of less experienced auditors

Functional Knowledge

Demonstrate practical experience in implementing internal control frameworks, i.e., COSO 2013Strong familiarity and broad experience working with SOX programs (i.e., testing and review, control owner, program management office, etc.)Exhibit a strong grasp of internal and/or external auditing theory and practiceDemonstrate effective data analysis skills to identify risks and develop insights to address said risksExperience with SOX and operational audit management tools such as AuditboardKnowledge of sustainability reporting standards, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), is a plus

Business Expertise

Demonstrate conceptual and practical experience in finance processes and operational processesPrior experience working with corporate sustainability programs is a plusExperience in the semiconductor industry is a plus

Candidate must possess unquestionable integrityCandidate must be a self-starter, motivated, organizedCandidate must possess a strong work ethic and be a role model for junior auditorsEffective oral and written communication

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)Relevant professional certification, such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFEPrior experience with a large public company (in an operational audit, SOX, or ESG capacity), public accounting and audit firm, or a consulting firmInternational/travel experience is a plus5 - 7 years of professional experience

U.S. Salary Range:

$92,000.00 - $126,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
