Job Description & Summary

A career in Business Enablement - Internal Audit will provide you with the opportunity to have the “in house” Internal Audit experience while staying at PwC Canada. You will build lasting relationships with business partners across the entire firm and work closely with the leadership team.

This role focuses on supporting the in-house Internal Audit team of PwC Canada itself, as opposed to a client facing role within our Risk Assurance practice.

We are looking for an innovative, technically strong, team player who is collaborative, a strong communicator and enjoys challenging the status quo.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

 

As an Internal Audit Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

Completion of Audit Engagements, support the development of the audit approach 

Work with our business partners and examine business records to understand business drivers, processes, controls to complete audit procedures 

Work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in completion and reporting of the audit results 

Assess estimates and judgements, evaluate results and document your work in accordance with professional standards 

Status reporting with clients 

Team meetings to track our great ideas, collaboration, portfolio status 

Assist with formal reporting to PwC Canada leadership and the Board of Directors 

We work with people at all levels of the organization and have a supportive and collegial team culture.   

Effective communication skills, a strong desire to foster a collaborative and supportive team culture and strong relationships with our business partners are critical skills 

This position will require you to be agile and responsive to changes in priorities, emerging trends, or other unforeseen challenges/circumstances 

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

CPA required 

Audit experience preferred 

Minimum 2 years in audit at PwC is preferred 

Experience in either internal, IT or external audit 

Excellent discretion when dealing with sensitive information.  

Ability to negotiate and influence effectively 

Proactively identify if additional support or time is required in terms of coaching or additional staff or SME support 

This position follows the guidance in the internal audit methodology, standards and guidance and oversight from Manager/Senior Manager/Director 

There will be many situations where there is no previous example to obtain guidance from and therefore would need to have strong capabilities in leveraging your professional judgement and anchoring against strong analysis to recommend to senior team members
