**Description:** **The Opportunity** Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Staff to join our Internal Audit department where you’ll join a team of 50 Internal Auditors who work in a collaborative and dynamic environment and who are valued as consultants to their internal clients – partnering with them in the auditing process and advising on efficiencies. In this role, you will work closely with the key finance and business stakeholders across the organization, partnering with them to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The department’s overall auditing approach is not to say: “This is wrong.” Instead say: “Here’s how you can do this better,” or “Here are ways to do this more efficiently.” At the end of each audit, you see the impact of your work on the business and know you’ve contributed value to the company. Additional responsibilities include: •Performing financial, operational, and compliance audit engagements. Audit work will include the review of SOX business controls and financial statements to support the work of our external auditors, for both the financial statements and audit of internal controls. The individual will work under limited supervision from the Internal Audit Manager with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment. The individual will assist the team by providing objective evaluations, process improvement solutions, effective communication, and guidance in recommending effective internal control standards. •Conducting interviews/ walkthroughs, reviewing documents, and preparing reports. •Identifying audit issues and developing recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed. •Communicating or assisting in communications of audit results and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to management. •Assisting on other audit projects as requested by Department management. •Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities. •Some travel is required but is subject to change with business conditions. **Qualifications:** **Experience Required:** •0 to 2 years of full-time experience in auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley control testing, and/or accounting/finance **Experience Preferred:** •Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or Hospitality •Big 4 or equivalent consulting or industry experience is preferred •Certification as a CPA, CIA, CISA, or Chartered Accountant or pursuing relevant certifications. •Experience with Oracle Financials, HFM, AuditBoard, Visio, etc. The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all-encompassing. The salary range for this position is $64,000 to $80,000. The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work.
