We are hiring rock star talent with finance, accounting or business background to join the Audit and Risk Assessment Team as an Internal Auditor. You can work from either of our HQ’s which are based in Marshall, MN or Bloomington, MN. Responsibilities:
Get Hands-On Experience Across the Business: Support and conduct audits in areas like operations, finance, compliance, and IT—gaining a well-rounded understanding of how the company runs.Collaborate with Leaders: Interview department managers and dive into company policies to learn how different teams manage risk and ensure internal controls are working effectively.Explore New Environments: Occasionally travel to other office or plant locations to perform on-site audits and see how operations work firsthand (travel up to 15%).Strengthen Your Analytical Skills: Identify areas where processes can be more efficient or compliant and suggest meaningful improvements that can make a real impact.Drive Innovation and Efficiency: Spot opportunities to streamline operations, enhance revenue, or cut unnecessary costs.Analyze Financial Data: Build your finance skills by performing basic analysis of business processes and financial statements.Learn How to Audit Like a Pro: Prepare clear, organized, and well-documented work papers—developing a professional skillset that’s valuable in any finance or accounting role.Partner with Teams Across the Company: Work alongside audit and business leaders to create actionable plans that address audit findings.Sharpen Your Communication Skills: Present your findings to management through written reports and team discussions—helping you grow your confidence and influence.Live Our Values: Be part of a team that’s committed to integrity, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement—values that support your long-term career growth.Travel: Up to 15% travel between Marshall MN and Bloomington MN and other business locations as needed.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years related work experienceExperience analyzing data, make recommendations and present findings to various internal teamsUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, internal control, and risk management frameworks.Experience performing unbiased analysis and evaluation of the results of assigned audit reviews.Experience with accounting & audit systems, such as SAP or WorkivaMS Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Information Systems Auditor preferred, or willing to actively work toward these.Exposure to data extraction software a plusCompensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $97,500 annually with eligibility for a 5% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
