Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices and documentalMaintains internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, recommending new policies and proceduresPrepares audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trendsObjectively review an organization’s business processeEvaluate the efficiency of risk management procedures that are currently in placeProtect against fraud and theft of the organization’s assetsEnsure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutesMake recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
