Internal Auditor
Internal Auditor Job Description Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager or above, the Internal Auditor is responsible for assuring the effective planning and execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits and special projects. This person interacts with management to discuss and resolve potentially contentious issues and recommend improved business practices. Responsibilities + Ensure the timely completion and distribution of audit reports as required by state requirements, Internal Audit Director, and Audit Committee. + Act as a team leader for internal audit activities, including the effective planning and execution of compliance, financial, and operational audits of business operations. + Provide regulatory interpretations and apply accounting, auditing, and regulatory requirements in the casino and corporate environments. + Lead or perform special project activities, and provide consulting and advisory services. + Research and develop practical solutions and business improvements. + Effectively communicate appropriate business improvement recommendations orally and in writing to various levels of management. + Liaise with management and independent accountants to assure audit objectives are met. + Assist with training, developing, and mentoring of additional audit staff. + Lead additional audit staff in the performance of internal audit, fraud prevention, and consulting activities. + Assist in the annual and ongoing risk assessment process, evaluating the risk associated with potential compliance program failure and applying appropriate resources. + Provide input related to audit plan development, performance analysis, and resource management. + Offer input and demonstrate commitment to the long-term advancement of the audit function. Qualifications + At least 2 years of audit experience + 3+ years of accounting experience + Degree in accounting, business, economics or related field preferred + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, gaming-specific software, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00 PTO – will have 2 weeks 401k Profit sharing program, bonus every quarter MedicalDentalVisionFlexible Spending AccountsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Term life insurance Being an employee of our resorts has its perks!
