We’re recruiting for a high-level Internal Auditor position with a premier financial service organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you are a motivated self starter with IT audit experience and a BA degree, it could be the perfect fit. This is a part time, 20hrs a week contract role for about 6 months. This role will work on our IT Audit team (11 employees), performing testing on our regulatory-related IT audits.
**_JOB DESCRIPTION_**
The internal auditor will be responsible for executing regulatory-driven (Model Audit Rule) IT audits, including audits of technologies and applications that impact the company's financial statements. The auditor will work both independently and in team-based settings, completing work over defined timelines. Responsibilities include the following:
+ Perform walkthroughs of controls with subject matter experts.
+ Develop and document test steps to validate stated controls.
+ Perform and document results of audit testing using a standard workpaper format.
+ Independently conclude on the effectiveness of controls and control gaps based on the results of testing.
+ Interpret the associated risks with IT systems and processes.
+ Communicate audit issues and related recommendations in both technical and non-technical terms to Operational and IT management. Make sound recommendations for audit finding rankings and effectively support conclusions during discussions with audit clients.
+ Prepare and report on audit recommendations and ensure they are accurately tracked in an audit repository.
+ Utilize data and analytic technologies to deliver increased efficiency and deeper insights on risk assurance.
+ Work as both as an individual contributor and in team environments where collaboration and adaptability are important.
+ Handle multiple concurrent audits, meet established deadlines and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
+ Remain current on cybersecurity auditing practices, cyber emerging threats, industry regulatory changes, and internal company policy and process changes.

**Pay Details:** $89.00 per hour
