GENERAL SUMMARY

Assesses the adequacy of established procedures that safeguard tribal assets.  Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of Casino operations while participating in auditing activities.

CORE SCOPE OF POSITION

Prepares programs, checklists, work papers, schedules, and summaries in accordance with applicable standards. Develop recommendations to address audit results and to strengthen minimum internal control standards and policies and procedures. Prepares audit reports to document findings in accordance with professional and department standards. Conducts independent analyses and evaluations of the gaming operation to determine compliance with regulations. Responsible for possessing a thorough understanding of and keeping current with NIGC and State regulations. Periodically review proposed Policies and Procedures and recommend changes in order ensure compliance with NIGC, State, and local regulations. Conduct audits in the manner set forth by department directives. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained. Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines Performs other duties as assigned.
