Internal Auditor Senior - RemoteJob Description

The Senior Internal Auditor conducts audit projects that provide independent, objective assurance over the organization’s operations. This position assesses compliance with internal policies and procedures, legal and regulatory obligations, and industry best practices; identifies opportunities to improve risk management and increase efficiencies; and reduces the potential for non-compliance, fraud, waste, and abuse. 

Responsibilities

Participate in enterprise-level risk assessment activities; together with Internal Audit leadership, assist in development of the annual audit planDevelop audit programs for review and approval by Internal Audit Manager, incorporating identified control risks into the audit procedures performedLead brainstorming sessions for each audit conducted to identify fraud and other potential risksOversee the technical work and provide guidance to staff assisting with audit projectsAssist in the training and development of Internal Auditors.Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience HS diploma or GED is required5 years of relevant experience which includes but is not limited to Internal Controls, Audit, Risk Assessments or Compliance Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Skilled in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAble to openly, positively and clearly communicate with a variety of personnelAbility to work independently (with only general direction) as well as collaboratively as part of a teamDemonstrated critical thinking and analysisStrong organizational skills and the ability to meet established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Potential pay for this position ranges from $74,500.00 - $111,700.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
