Internal Communications Consultant

Your role.


This position supports the internal and external communications needs of Plante Moran’s internal firm services teams. This role focuses on communications and supporting change management for our human resources, marketing, internal accounting, and information technology teams. The senior consultant may also help support the needs of other initiatives stemming from the firm’s strategic plan, including writing executive communications.


Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Working closely with the marketing communications director to help devise and execute strategy.Strategizing and executing comprehensive communication plans and campaigns to ensure effective communications and change management across the firm. This includes developing strategies and detailed plans to ensure end-user adoption of new tools and business processes introduced by our human resources, internal accounting, internal technology, and marketing teams.Understanding target audience personas and driving effective, audience-focused messaging for the firm’s internal teams.Ensuring the best tools and channels are being used to communicate items of importance; advise on strategy including content format and frequency. Ensuring consistent, authentic and on-brand style/voice/tone in all communications.Coaching and mentoring more junior staff, helping to support a growing team.

The qualifications. 

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or other related subject area5+ years of experience in corporate or internal communicationsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong project management skillsStrong attention to detail relating to accuracy, consistency, grammar, and spellingExperience using Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft SharePointAbility to work occasional evenings and weekends
