We have a newly created position for an Internal Communications Manager! This key position is integral in the development of strategic communications plans to support TJX and divisional business objectives, including driving the Associate experience and business results. Working as a strategic partner across functions, this manager will be responsible for Associate-facing communications strategies for assigned divisions/departments. This person will be responsible for building relationships with key leaders and peers, with a focus on sustaining the unique TJX culture through communications and building trust as a business advisor and influential partner. This role will be critical to connecting the dots between TJX Corporate and assigned divisions/departments, creating alignment with other divisions, and simplifying communications and processes where needed. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days a week on site in our Framingham, MA headquarters. 

 

What You Will Do:  

Division/Department Internal Communications | Leadership and Alignment 

Partner with key leaders on strategic communications planning and execution in alignment with the TJX and divisional business priorities to drive results. This includes advising on clear and consistent Associate-facing key messages to be delivered via various channels.  Serve as thought partner to senior leaders and functional teams to assist in the creation and execution of communications plans and opportunities such as: State of the Company Meetings, Town Halls, organizational messaging and materials, and celebratory milestones and engagement events. Partner with other respective divisional Internal Communications Managers to collaborate and share best practices, leverage materials, and align priorities when appropriate. Align with other key contacts which include the division Finance teams on business results messaging, divisional Marketing on key initiatives to share with broader Associates, Store Operations and Distribution Services leaders to advise on consistency and accuracy of corporate messaging to store and distribution center Associates.  Establish effective internal communications processes and best practices and identify strategic opportunities for the future (i.e., communications gaps and barriers to effectively message Associates). 

 

Corporate Internal Communications | Strategy and Stakeholder Management 

Provide guidance and creation for effective Associate-facing internal communications for assigned Corporate partners, including those leading large-scale growth and/or change initiatives.  Develop relationships with key stakeholders and partners on strategic communications plans, including key stakeholder meetings, reviewing content drafts, and partnering with the internal communications team on execution.  Develop and refine communications plans and processes so groups are delivering effective broad-facing internal communication campaigns targeted to right audiences at the right time.   

 

Who We Are Looking For: You  

5-7 years Corporate Communications Management experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience Knowledge of effective corporate communications strategy and best practices Superior writing and editing abilities and developed oral communication skills Executive presence, poise and demonstrated prior experience working with senior executives and managers within a matrixed corporate environment Strategic thinker with ability to ask questions, identify opportunities, connect the dots and influence change Ability to manage and lead change processes along with developed project management skills and ability to manage a large volume of projects simultaneously Consistent execution against timelines and attention to detail Understanding of evaluation including quantitative and qualitative measurement and data analysis  Excellent judgement, team leadership, along with a customer service mindset Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal partners across the organization. Must be proficient in MS Office 365 including PowerPoint and SharePoint

This position has a starting salary range of $90,200 to $115,200 per year.  

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
