SUMMARY :

The Manager Internal Communications is responsible for establishing an internal communications strategy in conjunction with the AirOps Communications Senior Manager, ensuring organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders. The role involves:

Developing and implementing internal channel strategies to raise awareness of AirOps business and achievements, teams’ best practices, management updates, internal events, etc.Developing and executing the internal communication strategy and plans to increase employee engagement, build trust and a positive reputation within Amadeus, empowering leadership, and fostering a cohesive company culture.Creating compelling content and ensuring consistent messaging across the organization.Providing support and advice across the organization on internal communications best practice, enabling staff to promote their own work areas.

In this role you will be:

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:

Develop and execute communication strategy and plans to position AirOps as a dynamic, innovative, talented, trusted and collaborative business line.Create opportunities and share compelling content that showcase AirOps strategy, portfolio and team, enhancing its visibility and reputation within the company.Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as NEO, Viva Engage, senior leadership communications, communication of changes at department level.Capture achievements and metrics from across AirOps and translate them into engaging stories to be shared internally through internal communications channels and platforms. Manage the editorial calendar.Write, edit and proofread internal communications material to ensure consistency with AirOps key messages.Advise and sign off materials for team members as needed to ensure consistency and quality.Ghostwriting for senior staff when required and manage internal communications forums, including internal events, town halls, intranet, etc.Ensure internal communications is considered and handled in a sensitive and timely fashion linked to key external announcements.Take the lead in developing effective and cost-effective internal communications and engagement solutions using a range of new and existing tools.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT:

Oversee AirOps employee recognition program in line with company values, and coordinate with Travel unit's programs.Evaluate the effectiveness of the recognition strategy, gathering feedback and making improvements to ensure it remains relevant, impactful and fair.Bring the leadership team closer to employees across the globe by organizing virtual and in-person activities that foster engagement and stronger relationships.Collaborate with P&C and TU Communications/Change Management to communicate, design and implement engagement projects and initiatives.Manage the planning and delivery of both virtual and in-person all-staff events, town halls and other internal forums and events.Build feedback mechanisms into the internal communications strategy to facilitate staff feedback – use input to further evolve strategy.Provide clear and effective communication in response to crisis or emergency situations to inform and guide staff.Enhance AirOps intranet platforms (NEO), aiming at empowering our people.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS LIAISON:

Develop close working relationships with AirOps leadership to address their specific communication needs effectively, ultimately providing recommendations to enrich communication techniques and skills.Collaborate with AirOps leaders to define and articulate key messages that align with AirOps strategic objectives.Develop and maintain close working relationships with TU Internal Communications and Corporate Communications to coordinate internal storylines and publication processes as well as speaker opportunities.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT & TRANSFORMATION:

Develop and implement communication strategies that support transformation initiatives, organizational change and P&C initiatives.Support the communication of corporate transformation initiatives, organizational changes and P&C initiatives. This specific area often requires managing confidential content as well as collaborating with leadership to participate in communication efforts to explain rationale and model the expected behaviors.

Ideal Candidate and Technical Skills:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in communications, press relations, Journalism with other relevant post-degree qualifications.At least 10 years’ experience in Communications with excellent understanding of strategic communications, change management, positioning, copywriting, media, and content creation.Experience in communication strategy, execution, project managementGood understanding of the travel industry, technology, Amadeus business and operating models, and market dynamics.Strong internal network and up-to-date knowledge of traveler behaviors.Proficiency in Microsoft 365, digital marketing tools (e.g., Eloqua), and on-demand broadcasting platforms.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and ensure timely project delivery.Experience working closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and diverse stakeholders to align goals and ensure collaboration.
