Internal Communications Specialist (14 months)

Why we need this role

The Internal Communications team sits at the heart of the business. We bring our strategy alive for our colleagues and make sure they’re kept informed, inspired and engaged at all times. It’s important you have expertise in translating complex technical information into easy to understand compelling content and have a natural flair for creativity.

You’ll partner with stakeholders from across our business, from local teams to senior leaders and everyone in-between. You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering multi-channel strategic communication programmes and campaigns, and play a key role in driving engagement across the organisation. 
We’re an internal communications team with bags of personality and have loads of opportunity for this person to manage their own projects and make real time decisions that have significant impact on employee engagement. 

This is a 14 months maternity cover.

What you will do

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

Business partner with key members of our Executive Leadership team, to support their role in delivering Colt’s strategy Play a leading role driving and supporting the change management agenda in this function and across the organisation Develop and execute a content plan that adds value and deepens colleagues’ understanding of our purpose and our strategic priorities Embed Colt’s values and culture into all your activities across the business to drive positive cultural change and to gain maximum buy in and employee engagement Liaise with the wider Internal Communications team to support their campaigns and projects Lead on Colt-wide projects and campaigns where needed Understand Colt’s key messaging, tone of voice and apply this across all content created Understand and report on various channel and content analytics

Key skills & experience

Exceptional written and verbal communications skills Previous internal communications experience working within the technology industry Experience of change communications Strategic and planning abilities - able to manage multiple plans and adapt to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily Excellent stakeholder management, at all levels Ability to break down complicated and technical subjects into interesting and engaging communications Strong networking skills, ability to build networks and generate content leads Good experience using communications channels such as Poppulo, SharePoint intranets and the MS Viva suite Excellent planning and organisation skills A good eye for detail and accuracy Experience in working for a global organisation Fluent in English – other languages very welcome Skills Client CommunicationsMarketing CollateralContent DevelopmentEmployee CommunicationsBrand EngagementCommunications AuditingEducation A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
