Purpose & Scope:
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for effective communications among staff through the development and delivery of strategic communications, including messaging, communication channels, and tactics. The specialist works with key organizational stakeholders to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s mission, goals, and values.
Communications delivery includes creation and distribution of content to foster a positive work environment, utilizing social media, email updates, newsletters, intranet content, apps, videos, and presentations. This position requires strong collaboration with system-wide teams to enhance the communications process.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field is required
Experience:
Two to five years in internal communications in a health system is required.
Expertise in Microsoft 365 (especially SharePoint and Teams) to optimize internal knowledge sharingStrong writing and communication skillsKnowledge of communications best practicesProject management familiarity to balance multiple projects and deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills
