The Manila Finance Shared Service Center handles various Finance processes of 888, William Hill and Mr. Green legal entities across different locations such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Reconciliations, Journals, Taxation and Financial Reporting.
What you will be doing: The role is focused on the following areas:
Core responsibilities Perform risk and control assessments in accordance with the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) Perform internal control and/or quality assurance testing on the operation of daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc controls in the GFSC and for evidencing the tests Communicate results of the risk and control assessment and testing to relevant stakeholders, provide recommendations and actions plans, and monitor all open action plans Participate in the end-to-end process review to drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for further control automation within the ERP. Support the Internal Controls Lead in maintaining the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) for the processes run in the GFSC Support the Internal Controls Lead and the operations teams in the implementation of internal controls enhancement and gap remediations Support external auditors in their audit duties – ensure all requests within the GFSC are delivered in line with agreed timetable Ad hoc responsibilities Ensure appropriate continuous professional development, keeping abreast of all internal, legislative, and industry best practice; Ensure appropriate interpretation and implementation of required changes in a timely manner; Support all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation when necessaryWho we are looking for:
Graduate of Accountancy or accounting-related course. CPA is an advantage2 years of experience in an audit role (internal or external)Good understanding of US Sox or UK corporate governanceCPA qualified or any finance related certification is an advantage but not a requirementStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data validation and record-keepingStrong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate well with internal stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Strong continuous improvement skillsWhat we offer:
