Internal Controls Analyst

This role entails more than just control testing; you will learn the big picture of our business operations, specifically how we produce and sell our industry-leading Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Endless Pools®, Freeflow Spas®, and Fantasy Spas® products. Alongside the Internal Controls Manager, you will primarily be responsible for supporting the performance of periodic internal audits and monitoring activities of internal controls over financial reporting.

YOUR RIPPLE EFFECT

Are you compliance-oriented? You’ll help ensure compliance with the Company’s ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) framework and will test internal controls by performing internal audits and documenting your findings. You will be tasked with a variety of recurring responsibilities that support the internal controls environment.Can you take a risk-based approach to auditing? We’ll look to you to assist in risk-assessment of internal controls.Can you provide support on a broad range of projects? You’ll have the opportunity to work with others throughout our organization on special projects in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Warranty, Financial Reporting, and IT.Do you enjoy working collaboratively? In this role you will work closely with our VP of Finance, Director/Controller, and Masco's Internal Audit Department (MIAD) and external audit firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).Do you have a continuous improvement-mindset? We’ll look to you to recommend improvements to our various internal controls, policies, and procedures, then follow-up on recommendations to perform process improvements.Do you have a strong desire to learn? In this role you will be constantly learning. We are looking for someone with a growth mindset and a positive attitude. You will be expected to multitask, manage multiple priorities effectively, and meet deadlines. 

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance, 1-2 years of Accounting experience (Auditing experience preferred) with an understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) section 404 requirements and of U.S. GAAP. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience in auditing internal controls around some or all these processes: Financial Statement Close, Purchase to Payables, Order to Cash, Inventory, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and Information Technology.Experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm is strongly preferred.CPA license, CMA license, or CIA certification is strongly preferred.Auditing experience in manufacturing industry a plus.Experience with Oracle or similar integrated ERP system a plus. Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization, including the ability to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers, or higher-level executives. Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a strong team environment, is required.Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5%-10% of the time, both domestically and internationally to our Tijuana, Mexico facility and potentially to our other business units in Europe.

Hiring Range: $75,700 - $83,270.
