Internal Controls Associate

The Internal Control Associate is responsible for: Conduct risk assessments; Monitor how both the business is being governed and internal processes are working; Review the suitability of internal control design; Anticipate emerging issues and decides how best to deal with them; Focus on financial and information technology systems/procedures/controls. This position reports to the Internal Control Manager and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge, UK and will be in office or fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Complete Sox testing completely/timely and own PBC listings during testing periods + Make recommendations for improvement and drive changes to both controls and processes + Implement goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to internal controls over financial reporting and SOX. + Aid in the documentation financial/accounting/actuarial/operational process flows, with a focus on internal controls and SOX compliance – including narratives and flowcharts in the AuditBoard system + Collaborate with process owners in development of action plans to assess the adequacy of action taken by management to correct control deficiencies, and continuing reviews with appropriate management on action until satisfactory resolution. The essential requirements of the job include: + Degree in Accounting required; CPA, ACCA, and/or CIA preferred + Knowledge of AuditBoard preferred + High-level understanding of ITGCs and IT Sox requirements preferred Join our winning team today.
