Internal Controls - Global GARS Administrator
Total Number of Openings 1 The position is responsible for the overall Account Reconciliation Administration for those accounts managed in the GARS account reconciliation tool (Trintech vendor tool). This position is part of the Internal Controls processes migrating to FSS Manila this year, and it reports to the Team Lead for Internal Controls in FSS Manila. The key job responsibilities include proactively managing the overall account reconciliation process of International Upstream locations that use GARS for reconciliation of JDE general ledger accounts, with some SAP and SAP S4 Hana locations included. These responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following: + Act as the Chevron liaison between the Trintech vendor and the GARS Support IT Team (LTI India Team). + Create and work cases with Trintech/LTI to resolve GARS issues opened for GARS locations, + Oversee GARS account assignment by ensuring all location accounts are assigned with appropriate risk ratings and related reconciliation/review schedules and conduct annual review. + Coordinate the timely completion of monthly/off-cycle quarterly/calendar quarterly account reconciliations and conduct a Quarterly Impact Analysis of unreconciled accounts. + Verify GARS portion of Global Status and QIAR Power BI Dashboard against GARS Reports and manage reporting of GARS Custodial accounts on calendar quarterly basis. + Participate in Walk-throughs with Audit and CSTG for GARS processes. + Perform SOX Testing for Mitigation Controls related to GARS accounts. + Provide guidance on reconciliation questions or issues submitted by GARS locations. + Work with Trintech and GARS Support IT Team (LTI India Team) on GARS Certification system upgrades and enhancements. + Work with GARS Support IT Team (LTI India Team) and GARS Locations to perform GARS UAR and SOD reviews. + Collaborate with Internal Controls, Account Reconciliation Global Process Owner, and other areas on Special Projects and Initiatives. + Maintain the GARS SharePoint site and associated documentation.
