+ POSITION SUMMARY + Reports To: + President/ CEO + Summary: + These physicians practice “general internal medicine” and are commonly referred to as “general internists.” General internists are equipped to handle the broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, and are recognized as experts in diagnosis, in treatment of chronic illness, and in health promotion and disease prevention—they are not limited to one type of medical problem or organ system. They are specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time. + Work Schedule: + Varies + WORK ENVIRONMENT Clinical office, Hospital and Nursing Homes. + SKILLS & ABILITIES + Education + Doctorate + Experience + Board Certified in Internal Medicine. + Computer Skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility. + Certificates & Licenses + Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School and licensed by the state of Indiana. Current/Valid BLS and DEA certificate required. + Other Requirements + Certification in ACLS preferred. This position requires constant standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0–10 lbs and pushing and pulling 0–12 lbs.
